Weekly author update:
1. I'm about halfway through my first draft of Fated. I have a feeling that this novella will be a bit longer than Marked, but still not as long as a full-length novel.
2. I'll be starting my next draft of awake soon and I'll be thinking of cover ideas for Shore Haven over the next few weeks.
3. I haven't worked on Survivor in a while. It's still in the back of my head, but so are novellas centered around Awake, which I think I may start working on next both when I start the next read-through, so it might be a while before I get back to survivor.
4. I've been learning a bit of photoshop. Expect to start seeing cooler promo images in the weeks to come.

1. Captive is doing amazing. Thank you to everyone who has read the novel and given me great reviews.
2. Fated is coming along nicely, slowly, but nicely. I'm adjusting to new meds, so this past week wasn't as productive as I would like, but I'm still writing.
3. Shore Haven is still in its first round of editing. My editor hasn't given me any clue how what she thinks about it, but that's all right.
4. Since I haven't been able to focus my on writing, I've been teaching myself a bit of photoshop and downloading photo editor apps, so you'll be seeing lots of new promo images. Enjoy.

I cracked the door and looked up to see Bane standing there with a frown. I opened it wider and gave him a quizzical look.
“Can I come in?” he asked.
“Sure.” I motioned for him to enter.
He walkedpurposefullypastme, and then turned in the middle of the room to look at me. Feeling as if we were going to need some privacy for whatever it was he wanted to talk about, I shut the door, and as an afterthought flipped the lock.
“Talia… I… I like you,” he said before I could turn around. “I think you’re beautiful, funny, and sensitive. I know we have many things stacked against us. But I can’t have you leaving here without us at least giving things a shot. Give me through next week. Get to know me better and let me…” He trailed off, and I wanted desperately to know what he was about to say.
“Let you do what?” I questioned when the silence grew too long. Unconsciously, I took a step toward him.
He reached out, grabbed me around the waist, and pulled me into his arms. “Let me do this.”
He kissed me. His lips were full and surprisingly soft. The kiss was firm and toe-curling. When he brushed his tongue along my lips seeking entrance, I opened for him and met his with mine. I moaned at the feel of him and instinctively pushed my body against his, wanting to feel more of him. He took the invitation for what it was and moved one of his hands to my ass, pushing me against the hard length of him.
