I'm not going to say weekly because I don't remember when the last time I posted an update.
My FIL went back into the hospital a few weeks ago. This time his foot was infected. He has MRSA. The surgeon cut a bit out of his ankle around his Achille's. I'm learning to administer IV antibiotics, and my husband is learning care. The wound is too open, too deep, and showing too much of the inside of his foot for me to stomach.
Yes, I know that's ironic. I write fiction. I could do half that stuff in real life.
My FIL also started hallucinating this weekend, among other things. Watching someone do that is interesting. We don't know if the hallucinations are from medication, kidney failure, dementia, possible mini-stroke, or what, but life has been interesting, to say the least.
I'm trying to write. Trying to edit. Trying to do a lot of things, but I'm not making headway in any of it. I fear that if my FIL's hallucinations are mini-strokes, that he'll keep having them until we lose him, so it might be a while before I get back to the swing of things.
I will keep you posted the best I can on how things play out over the next few months.
BTW, the photo doesn't mean anything. It was just a filter on my phone, and I loved it.
